Tennis Elbow

Tennis elbow is inflammation or, in some cases, micro tearing of the tendons that join the forearm muscles on the outside of the elbow. The forearm muscles and tendons become damaged from overuse — repeating the same motions again and again. This leads to pain and tenderness on the outside of the elbow.

Chiropractic care helps by working on the damaged tendon to ensure the elbow, shoulder, wrist and neck joints are working properly. If all these areas work well the tennis elbow will heal nicely.

Sports therapy can also be used. We can offer Dry Needling (a form of acupuncture) to help the tendon heal, or ultrasound-guided technique that sends energy waves to damaged tissues in the elbow.

Our Sports therapists can also tape up your elbow, allowing you to perform activities that would normally be painful by minimising pain and changing the way you move your arm.
