About Sports therapy
What is sports therapy?
Sports therapy is a form of treatment focused on preventing, diagnosing, and rehabilitating injuries related to physical activity. It combines hands-on techniques like massage, stretching, and joint mobilization with exercise programs to aid recovery and improve performance.
What should I expect during my first sports therapy session?
During your first session, our therapist will conduct a thorough assessment of your injury, movement patterns, and overall physical condition. Based on this, they’ll create a personalized treatment and rehabilitation plan that includes hands-on therapy and exercise recommendations. Your first session does include a treatment.
Do I need to be an athlete to benefit from sports therapy?
No, sports therapy is not just for athletes! While it’s great for those involved in sports, it can also benefit anyone dealing with musculoskeletal pain, injuries from daily activities, or recovering from surgery.
What conditions can sports therapy help with?
Sports therapy can assist with a variety of issues, including muscle strains, ligament sprains, joint pain, and injuries from overuse. It’s also highly effective for enhancing flexibility, strength, and overall mobility.
How long does recovery take with sports therapy?
Recovery time depends on the severity of the injury and the individual’s healing process. After an initial assessment, our sports therapist will create a tailored rehabilitation plan and provide a rough timeline for your recovery.

About Massage therapy
What types of massage therapy do you offer?
We offer a range of massage therapies, including deep tissue, sports massage and Swedish relaxation massage. Each type is tailored to meet specific needs, whether for relaxation, pain relief, or injury recovery.
What are the benefits of massage therapy?
Massage therapy can help reduce muscle tension, relieve stress, improve circulation, alleviate pain, and promote overall relaxation. It’s also effective in aiding recovery from injuries and enhancing physical performance.
What should I expect during my first massage session and consultation?
During your first visit, your therapist will begin with a brief consultation to discuss your health history, any areas of pain or tension, and your goals for the session. This helps them tailor the massage to your specific needs. The massage itself will be adjusted to your comfort level, focusing on relaxation or targeted relief, depending on your preferences. Your therapist will check in with you during the session to ensure you’re comfortable and receiving the right amount of pressure.
How often should I get a massage?
The frequency of massage sessions depends on your individual needs and goals. For general well-being, a monthly session may suffice, while those recovering from an injury or dealing with chronic pain may benefit from more frequent treatments.
Is massage therapy safe for everyone?
Massage therapy is generally safe for most people, but certain conditions (like recent surgeries, infections, or severe skin conditions) may require modifications or make massage unsuitable. It’s always best to consult with your therapist before starting treatment if you have any health concerns.
What should I wear during a massage session?
Many people choose to wear underwear or gmy clothing, but you will be fully covered with a sheet or towel, and only the area being worked on will be exposed. Your therapist will ensure your comfort and privacy at all times.
About IDD therapy
What is IDD spinal decompression therapy?
IDD therapy is a non-invasive treatment designed to relieve pressure on the spine and discs by gently stretching and decompressing the spinal segments. It’s commonly used to treat conditions such as herniated discs, sciatica, and chronic back or neck pain.
How does IDD therapy work?
IDD therapy uses a specialized machine to apply precise and controlled stretching forces to the spine, which helps to relieve pressure on the affected discs and nerves. This decompression allows the discs to rehydrate and heal, improving mobility and reducing pain over time.
What conditions can IDD therapy help with?
IDD therapy is most effective for conditions like bulging or herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, sciatica, facet joint syndrome, and general chronic back or neck pain. It’s particularly useful for those seeking a non-surgical solution to disc-related issues.
How many sessions of IDD therapy will I need?
A typical course of IDD therapy involves around 10-20 sessions, depending on the severity of your condition. Your therapist will create a personalized treatment plan based on your individual needs, and sessions are usually spread over several weeks for optimal results.
Is IDD therapy safe?
Yes, IDD therapy is a safe and gentle treatment option, especially for patients seeking non-invasive alternatives to surgery. It is performed under the guidance of a trained therapist, and most patients experience little to no discomfort during the sessions.
How long is each IDD therapy session?
Each IDD therapy session lasts about an hour. At the start, you’ll complete a pain score assessment to help us track your progress over time. While you fill out the assessment, a heat belt will be applied to gently warm your lower back, preparing the area for treatment. After the decompression therapy, the session concludes with icing the treated area to reduce any inflammation before you leave.
